I have searched the world over for companies that I truly think are giving back to this world. I think there are 3 types of companies: companies that tell you that are doing good, companies that are trying hard to do good but are struggling, and then companies that make it a part of their vision & mission to do good and are actually "Doing Good". I wanted to highlight some companies that I have actually used their products and/or agreed with how they operate as a "doing good" company.
The fashion industry is probably the worst offender for the environment and I love clothes! Who doesn't, right? So I made a pact a few years ago that I would do my best to buy used unless I was looking for something very specific and couldn't find it. Then 2020 hit and I had no need for anything and I started laser-focusing on seeing which companies were doing good in the fashion industry and this is what I found. If you want to learn more about the impact of the fashion industry on the environment, take a peak at this article. These sites are in an order other than alphabetical. You choose your favorite.
Food glorious food.......we can't do without it. In the past few years, I made a conscious effort to go vegan because I thought I could help the environment this way. I found that my bloodwork was better and I just generally felt amazing!!! I wasn't perfect at it, but every day I would do my best. I'm not one that likes to cook so I set out to look for restaurants that have a "doing good" component to their mission but also mail order services as well. My goal is to be vegan at least 75% of the time and maybe one day, that will turn to 100% because after all, we are imperfect humans. I hope this helps you find something that works for you.
Energy...Energy....Energy.......it's a never ending battle in the world of politics but bottom-line, if we can do something that will harness a natural resource then I think there is a win-win for everyone. To find out more information on natural resources for renewable energy, go here.
